The Forum's Conference of Fund Leaders Roundtable program is designed to gather mutual fund chairs and lead independent directors for peer-to-peer education and networking focusing on topics critical to this group. These discussions are free of charge and open to all current mutual fund Chairs and Lead Independent Directors.

Boards have discovered the advantages that diverse boards can bring to the decision-making process; therefore, many boards prioritize identifying diverse candidates for available positions.

During our first session, Board Diversity - Facing the Barriers, panelists will discuss strategies for boards to overcome barriers to demographic diversity such as a limited industry pipeline, low board turnover rates, and scarce time and resources for recruiting.

Our second panel, Inclusion Matters - Strategies for Improved Board Performance, will focus on how boards can improve their effectiveness by operating with an inclusion lens and demonstrating inclusive governance practices that foster growth and fully employ the skillsets of each director.

We'll also hear from Harvard Law School professors John Coates and Howell Jackson as they present recent academic literature on governance and diversity.

This meeting will be on Zoom on November 20, 2020 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm (ET).

Who Should Attend
This event is open ONLY to current chairs and lead independent directors of U.S. registered mutual funds.
