Overview
Special guest Scott Goebel, Senior Vice President, Secretary and General Counsel at Fidelity Management & Research Company will lead a conversation about current trends in mutual fund regulation, including money market funds.
Putnam Board Chair Jameson A. Baxter will next lead the group in a "what's on your mind" group conversation
Congressman Jim Himes (D-CT) will speak over lunch. Rep. Himes is on the House Financial Services Committee, which has oversight jurisdiction over the Securities and Exchange Commission, and he will provide his thoughts about the current role of politics in financial services regulation.
This off-the-record event will take place on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm at the Yale Club in New York City.
The CFL is a unique gathering which provides fund independent chairs and lead independent directors with an opportunity to discuss important issues with other fund leaders. The Conference of Fund Leaders (CFL) is a partnership of the Mutual Fund Directors Forum, the Millstein Center for Corporate Governance and Performance at the Yale School of Management, and independent leaders of mutual fund boards of trustees.
