Conference of Fund Leaders Roundtable
June 03, 2011, New York, NY
Overview
The next Conference of Fund Leaders roundtable will take place on Friday, June 3, 2011 from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm at the Yale Club in New York City. Join us for this unique gathering which provides fund independent chairs and lead independent directors with an opportunity to discuss important issues with other fund leaders. The June event will feature a "plain English" overview of recent academic research on mutual funds of interest to fund directors. Recent research has explored, for example, whether there is a relationship between board organization and fund performance. Other recent papers have discussed topics such as how to measure active management to ensure that the manager is not charging active management fees for what is essentially an index fund. Fund leaders will have the opportunity to learn about these and other recent academic studies, and to raise additional issues of interest to participants.
The Conference of Fund Leaders (CFL) is a partnership of the Mutual Fund Directors Forum, the Millstein Center for Corporate Governance and Performance at the Yale School of Management, and independent leaders of mutual fund boards of trustees.
