Overview
This webinar will focus on the issue of outsourcing of investment operations. The discussion will cover board oversight, including considerations at the time the decision whether to outsource is made as well as ongoing board oversight. The webinar will examine the implications for shareholders of the decision whether or not to outsource investment operations, and will cover issues connected with operational risk.

Dan Houlihan is the North American Head of Northern Trust's Global Fund Services (GFS) segment, responsible for servicing the firm's North American asset management clients. GFS is focused on the delivery of all asset servicing for fund clients, including middle-office outsourcing, fund administration, fund accounting, transfer agency, and custody. Dan joined Northern Trust in 2008 as the Global Head of Product and Strategy for the Investment Operations Outsourcing (IOO) business. Prior to joining Northern Trust, Dan spent 19 years in numerous leadership positions for investment management, technology, and services companies. Among these, he was President of Citisoft, Inc. where he was responsible for executing their strategy for North America.
Paul Fahey

Paul leads the Product Management Team for Northern Trust's Global Fund Services (GFS) business clients. In this role, Paul drives the future service offering in support of our GFS clients worldwide. Prior to joining Northern Trust, Paul was the Global Product Manager for the Investor Services Group at State Street. In this capacity, Paul coordinated large, strategic product development initiatives across multiple market segments, including collective fund, pension, and insurance clients. Prior to this role, Paul served in numerous capacities at State Street, including the Large Client Integration group where he developed service models for Investment Management and Insurance Company Outsourcing relationships. Paul also served as the head of the Collective Fund Services (UK) and Offshore Fund Services (Australia) groups where he was responsible for the successful delivery of day-to-day servicing and strategic direction for these clients.
Owen T. Meacham
Senior Vice President and Senior Corporate Attorney
Northern Trust
Owen T. Meacham is a Senior Vice President and Senior Corporate Attorney at The Northern Trust Company, Chicago. Owen joined Northern Trust in September 2007 and is charged with the development, staffing and oversight of Regulatory Administration Services. Prior to joining Northern Trust, Owen was a Product Development Manager with ABN AMRO Asset Management in Chicago, an Assistant Counsel with BISYS Fund Services in Boston and a Legal Product Manager with Fidelity Investments also in Boston.
