Forum Responds to WSJ Money Market Editorial
February 05, 2010
This week, the Forum sent a letter to the Wall Street Journal responding to a February 3, 2010, editorial entitled “The SEC v. Investors.” According to the Forum's letter, the WSJ editorial wrongly argues that recent SEC rule changes for money market funds will harm investors. In particular, the Forum's letter corrects the article's misconceptions regarding the use of rating agencies and the role of the board, as well as the assertion that investors are disadvantaged by the stable $1 net asset value of money market funds.
