MFDF Spotlight: Key Findings and Insights from MFDF’s Fund Board Composition Survey

MFDF's Spotlight webinar is a 30-minute program that focus on a specific topic within the fund industry and/or products.

In late 2025, MFDF conducted a survey to gather information about the types of skills and backgrounds that are represented in fund boardrooms. This survey also looked at defining certain qualifications including “fund industry experience” and “Qualified Financial Expert,” and inquired about board practices relating to leadership within the boardroom and director education. In this spotlight webinar, Leslie Beckbridge, Operations and Member Services Manager at MFDF, will present some of the key findings from the survey report, share additional insights regarding the survey’s design and objectives, and explore how directors may draw meaning from the data.
