Marcy Kempf, CPA

Marcy is a Partner for Cohen & Company's Assurance division. She provides audit and consulting services to a variety of entities in the investment industry, including mutual funds, exchange traded funds (ETFs), and hedge funds and has experience with some of the largest fund-servicing companies nationwide. She works with a mix of equity, fixed income, international, fund-of-funds, closed-end funds and private fund complexes. Experienced in the issues facing newly organized funds and funds with valuation challenges, she also has expertise in complex investments and derivatives, illiquid and hard-to-value securities, short sales, affiliated issuers, international securities and controlled foreign corporations (CFCs). In addition, Marcy specializes in audits of collective investment trusts (CITs) and the unique issues associated with these funds.
