Brian Merrill

Brian is a Managing Director in the Data Analytics practice of Deloitte Transactions and Business Analytics LLP with more than 20 years of experience in data management and advanced analytics for risk, compliance and legal functions. He is a leader in Deloitte’s financial services Trustworthy AI services with deep expertise in non-financial risk and enterprise governance. At the forefront of AI governance strategy, Brian brings a pragmatic lens to the challenges of deploying AI responsibly across complex organizations. In his role, he has helped shape agile governance frameworks that balance innovation with accountability, enabling scalable and trusted AI adoption.

Brian is also Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) who specializes in fraud and risk detection.  His technical experience includes the design, development, and implementation of advanced data solutions with extensive experience in data mining, data analysis, machine learning/artificial intelligence and Generative AI.
