Rick Moran

Rick Moran serves as a Managing Director and Global Head of Enterprise Technology Services (ETS) at Invesco. In this capacity, he provides vision and leadership to ensure the company leverages technology effectively, enabling Invesco to achieve and maintain a sustainable competitive advantage. Mr. Moran oversees a team responsible for a variety of cross-cutting, business-enabling technology services, which include enterprise architecture, enterprise data, enterprise platforms, enterprise engineering practices, and enterprise assurance functions. Under his guidance, the ETS organization drives the development and implementation of strategies that enable digital transformation, innovation, and the optimization of technology. His team supports the advancement of Invesco’s technology maturity by modernizing architecture through solutions such as Cloud, APIs, DevSecOps, technology risk management, data platforms, advanced analytics and AI. The ETS organization establishes a comprehensive, firm-wide architecture blueprint and, through optimized assurance functions, affirms that the design, construction, and integration of systems solutions are cost-effective, operationally resilient, and closely aligned with Invesco’s business goals. In partnership with engineering teams, ETS executes Invesco’s enterprise data strategy, encompassing data governance, data quality, data entitlements, data analytics, and the development of business data products. Additionally, ETS provides engineering platforms that enable federated, self-service software development at scale, including API management, DevSecOps pipelines, and low-code applications, while also establishing, training, and promoting best practices in software engineering, quality engineering, and agile methodologies.

Rick Moran joined Invesco in 2022. Prior to joining the firm, he held several leadership roles in architecture and technology within the financial services industry. His previous positions include serving as the chief architect for institutional investment services, head of web architecture for Personal Investing, and head of enterprise cloud computing architecture at Fidelity Investments. He also led the enterprise architecture organization at Mass Mutual. Mr. Moran earned a BA degree in physics from the College of the Holy Cross. He went on to earn a MS in physics at Tufts University. He is a TOGAF-certified enterprise architect.
