Deborah P. Rubin, PsyD
Deborah has over 20 years of experience across the spectrum of RHR services, including board effectiveness, CEO succession, senior executive selection and development, and building high-performing senior teams. Deborah has worked with leaders in a wide range of settings, from family-owned businesses to large multibillion-dollar multinational corporations. Deborah’s experience across industries includes work in insurance, pharmaceuticals, retail, travel, high-tech, energy, food and food service, manufacturing, mining, and both financial and professional services. Focusing on CEO succession, C-suite, and board issues, she is a frequent blogger and contributor to the Wall Street Journal, Corporate Board Member, and Chief Executive magazine.
Prior to joining RHR International, Deborah worked in the business sector for a number of years. Initially part of a management training program, she progressed to a variety of roles in manufacturing, recruiting, and sales before returning to school to obtain her graduate degree.
Deborah received her master’s degree and PsyD in clinical psychology from Widener University in Chester, Pennsylvania, earning one of the top awards in the program. She graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in history from Duke University. She is a licensed psychologist in Pennsylvania and is a member of the American Psychological Association’s Society of Consulting Psychology. She is also a director on the national board of Girls Inc.
