Selected Professional Experience:

  • Mid-tier Wealth Manager, Data Office Establishment: Sri led the effort to conceptualize, establish, and operationalize the entire data office for a mid-west based wealth manager. This included creating and executing relevant data office capabilities from Data Governance and AI/ML Governance to Data Architecture and Platform mgmt.
  • Leading Asset Servicer, Data Strategy & Data Catalog: Sri was engaged by the Head of Data Services to assist in the design and enactment of a data strategy and enabling data architecture to improve data use internally (e.g., across functions) and externally (e.g., self service reporting for clients). This included engaging each product and service area (e.g., Custody, Fund Accounting) to identify the input data required (e.g., transactions), the data produced (e.g., NAV), key systems involved and the channels / methods of data movement. Sri applied a use case approach to catalog over 500 physical data elements across 6 platforms (e.g., Eagle STAR, eFront), and converge to 150 common business terms for that data. This use case and data catalog served as the basis for the new architecture design
  • Investment Management Firm, Automating SEC Modernization: Sri automated the regulatory reporting processes for N-PORT and N-CEN by leading the business and technology work streams. His team performed end-to-end requirements analysis, business rules creation, data sourcing and normalization, and  validations for ~400 U.S. public funds along with supporting implementation of third-party vendor solutions for the filing
  • Leading Asset Management Firm, Regulatory Reporting: Sri led an initiative to master data and automate the business and technical processes to enable “source-independent” technology processes for Form PF, AIFMD, CPO-PQR, PR, N-PORT, N-CEN, LOPR, and other regulatory reports. His team developed a end-to-end platform including web UI powered business processes workflows, core systems to create the regulatory filing and visualize them for review using in-memory and agile technologies
  • US based Mutual Fund Complex, Risk Data Framework Design: Sri designed the enterprise-wide risk information delivery framework (MIFD) framework for supporting intra-day risk, pricing, liquidity, and valuation functions and set up the enterprise risk data governance framework to support the organization’s technology and business process change management function
