Julian F. Sluyters

Julian F. Sluyters has been in the asset management business his entire career. He spent the first 10 years of his career in public accounting, where his primary industry focus were banks and asset management firms (and the mutual funds which they sponsored). For the past 30 years, Julian has served in various capacities working for several international asset management firms, such as UBS, Deutsche Asset Management and Allianz Global Investors. His roles have been varied. These include the CEO of a mutual fund firm, CEO of a major European fund services company, and several asset management company COO roles. In connection with these positions, he has also served as the Treasurer (Principal Financial Officer) of a large mutual fund complex, and the CEO, President (Principal Executive Officer) and interested Trustee for several fund complexes, both in the United States and Europe. His experience includes working with all major asset classes, including alternatives, closed end funds (managed distributions, open-ending, working with activist investors), corporate actions (tenders, liquidations, open-ending, mergers), board consolidations, and M&A activities.  He is currently an advisory Board member for Gecko Governance, an Irish based RegTech company, and EQX Biome, a mission-driven financial firm focused on protecting the world’s remaining biodiversity.
