Lisa Wolski

Lisa Wolski is a Managing Director at Washington Council Ernst & Young (WCEY).  WCEY is a tax and health care legislative and regulatory policy group within EY that provides global companies and other organizations with strategic advice and advocacy before Congress and the Administration. 

Policymakers and company tax officials alike rely on Lisa for her tax policy expertise, strategic analysis, and ability to develop successful advocacy campaigns.  Lisa has held key leadership roles at a major U.S. multinational company and in the U.S. Senate. 

Prior to joining WCEY, Lisa was the head of Government Affairs & Policy for GE until the company’s historic separation into individual businesses.  Lisa also led global tax policy advocacy for all GE businesses.  Lisa worked on complex tax legislative proposals, including the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act; worked with her tax department on regulatory comments and advocacy; and leveraged her close connections across the D.C. tax community to help lead efforts to retain competitive tax policies for U.S. multinational companies.

Earlier in her career, Lisa served as Chief of Staff for the Senate Republican Whip when then-Senator Jon Kyl was the Whip.  The Whip is the second highest Republican leadership position, is the top adviser to the Republican Leader, and is responsible for securing support for key legislative priorities.  During her Senate career, Lisa led debt limit negotiations and tax extenders negotiations for Senate Republicans.  She also secured several major tax policy victories in her work with Senator Kyl.

Lisa is a member of D.C. Bar Association and is active in many tax groups and committees in Washington, D.C.
