In October 2026, MFDF will host the first of three calls with the Newer Directors Roundtable, a group whose discussions are targeted at relatively new fund independent directors (within their first 5 years of service) and directors who are preparing to onboard new directors.

This group has a repeating annual agenda of three calls scheduled between October and June. This first call of the 2026-2027 series will focus on acclimating to board culture and communication norms. 

This call will be hosted on Zoom from 11:00am-12:00pm ET on Tuesday, October 20th and is open to currently serving fund independent directors with active MFDF memberships.

On March 23rd, 2027 at 11:00am ET, this group will meet to discuss fund directors' statutory oversight responsibilities. The third and final call for the year will be on June 29th, 2027 at 11:00am ET and will focus on compliance oversight and the relationship with the CCO.
