MFDF Policy Development Town Hall (Lower AUM Members)

Register Now

As a result of MFDF advocacy efforts and the broader efforts of the fund community in 2026, the industry saw the SEC put forth rulemaking on e-delivery. The Commission has also kept the examination of cross-trading of fixed income assets on the agency’s regulatory flex agenda. Furthermore, MFDF has had productive conversations with SEC staff on proxy voting issues and revisiting the definition of in-person meetings to keep pace with changing technological capabilities.

As we look ahead to 2027, we believe that MFDF has an excellent opportunity to enhance our advocacy on behalf of fund independent directors as the SEC continues to identify areas for deregulation. While we have some ideas regarding areas that would benefit from a new regulatory approach, we want to hear from you. To ensure our policy goals and objectives address the issues you most care about, we will host two, one-hour long Policy Development Town Halls with MFDF member independent directors.

Because we understand regulation may impact differently sized funds in different ways, we will break the Policy Development Town Halls into two groups: higher AUM fund boards ($20 Billion in AUM and above) and lower AUM fund boards (AUM under $20 Billion).

Please note, if you are unable to join for your designated session, you are welcome to join for the other session - your voice is the most important piece to this process.

The lower AUM fund boards will meet on Friday, October 30th from 1:00pm-2:00pm ET.

Who Should Attend
MFDF Member Working Groups are open to independent directors and CCOs whose fund boards have active MFDF memberships
