Nom/Gov Committee Roundtable

In November 2026, MFDF's Nom/Gov Committee Roundtable will meet for a discussion of board refreshment mechanisms, including retirement ages, term limits, self-assessment tools, and usage of advisory and emeritus director roles.

Questions for discussion may include:

• What formal and informal mechanisms does your board use for refreshment of the skills and knowledge in the boardroom?
• Has your board made any changes to its policies or procedures relating to board refreshment since you have been on the board? What were the circumstances that led to that change?
• How might a board determine the "right" rate/cadence for board refreshment?
• Has your board used roles such as advisory or emeritus director positions for incoming or outgoing directors? What considerations were involved in those decisions?

This call will be hosted on Zoom from 11:00am-12:00pm ET on Wednesday, November 18th and is open to independent directors and CCOs serving on fund boards with active MFDF memberships.
