Anne Kritzmire

Anne Kritzmire is Lead Independent Trustee for the Thornburg Closed-End Funds and serves on audit and nominating & governance committees.  As well, she is an independent trustee for the Advisors Series Trust, a multi-series trust overseeing mutual funds and ETFs and sponsored by US Bank.  She enjoys sharing creative problem-solving insights and enabling professional growth for others as an independent business consultant and as a business faculty leader at the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management, focusing on leadership, team development, communications, and financial management. 

She spent over 21 years at Nuveen in marketing leadership, product management, and client analytics roles.  Most recently, she was Head of Multi-Asset Strategies in which she led development and oversight of marketing strategy and programs to drive awareness, education, client acquisition and support for Nuveen’s expanding multi-asset investment and advice business, including traditional and alternative investments. 

Prior to that role, she was Managing Director of Closed-End Funds Marketing for over 10 years.  Anne oversaw strategic marketing and support, leading an award-winning program of financial advisor and investor education, industry relations and promotion for Nuveen Investments’ industry-leading family of closed-end funds.  She was Nuveen’s lead media closed-end funds spokesperson and also served as President of the Closed-End Fund Association.

Kritzmire joined Nuveen in 1999 as Vice President and Director of Client Development & Insights to develop the firm’s customer relationship management strategy, analytics, and tools across multiple product platforms and sales channels. Previously in her career she held senior pharmaceutical product management and marketing positions at Abbott Laboratories and served in sales, engineering, and consulting capacities with IBM Corporation.

Ms. Kritzmire received an MBA with distinction in finance and marketing from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management, and a BS cum laude in electrical engineering from the University of Notre Dame. She is a graduate of Wharton’s Securities Industry Institute, ICI’s Foundations for Fund Directors, and held FINRA Series 3, 7, 24, 63, 65, and 79 licenses.

She is a two-term elected Trustee for the Village of Long Grove IL, chairing the Finance Committee.  She previously served on the boards of Chicago Public Media (WBEZ radio and Chicago SunTimes) and the Chicago Children’s Choir.  She sings with a community a capella group and has enjoyed many adventures with her two sons and daughter as a long-time Scouting America (fka Boy Scouts of America) volunteer and high adventure leader.
