Former Stein Aide Likely Nominee for Commissioner Spot

Allison Lee, a former SEC enforcement lawyer and aide to Commissioner Kara Stein, is the likely nominee to fill Stein’s seat, according to Bloomberg and other media reports. Lee, formerly of the SEC’s enforcement division, was with the agency for over a decade, including in the Denver office and in Washington as a legal adviser to Stein from 2013 to 2015. Lee’s spouse is a board member of the PCAOB.
