MFDF Publishes “Toolkits” for Fund Boards with Tactics for Recruitment and Onboarding

MFDF has collected board tactics and guiding questions for boards navigating recruitment and onboarding into downloadable toolkits that may be kept at hand by directors and nominating/governance committees. Boards’ approaches to their composition and governance practices are not well-suited to one-size-fits-all guidance.

The Board Recruitment Toolkit offers guidance and approaches for the early stages of a board’s recruitment process, including designing the process itself, establishing search criteria, options for finding candidates, and related considerations on timing. The Onboarding New Directors Toolkit offers a broad menu of possible tactics that boards may consider deploying in the process of integrating newly hired directors into the boardroom. Boards show creativity and commitment to effectiveness in their dedication to continually improve governance processes. The MFDF toolkits aim to support these efforts.
