MFDF Webinar: An Update on the SEC's Whistleblower Program

In 2011, the SEC launched a whistleblower program to incentivize individuals to report possible violations or questionable conduct by offering significant financial bounties for information that leads to a successful SEC enforcement action.  According to the SEC, the program has significantly benefitted the SEC’s enforcement efforts.  With experience administering the whistleblower program, the SEC has hinted at possible future amendments to the program to address various topics that have developed during the program’s history. Join Goodwin lawyers Marco E. Adelfio and Andrew L. Zutz to discuss the history and current landscape of the SEC’s whistleblower program, considerations for mutual funds and their directors, and the potential direction of changes going forward.
