FUSE Research Releases Data on Age Distribution of Independent Fund Directors

FUSE Research recently released data highlighting key information in independent fund director age including a breakout by fund-type. According to the FUSE data, the average age of independent directors is 65.8 years. A little over 40% of boards have “at least one independent director aged 75 years or older” while 25% of independent directors are aged 60 or younger. Of the varying product types, ETF independent directors are younger on average than open-end or closed-end fund directors.
