Paradigm IQ Report Presents 2025 DEI Benchmarking Study

The Paradigm report “How Organizations are Evolving in the Face of a Changing Landscape” highlights how President Trump’s Executive Orders and policy priorities have started to reshape the world of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) frameworks in the corporate world and board room. The study notes that most companies are evolving away from highly-visible DEI efforts and instead moving toward more scaled-back efforts that are “more sustainable and resilient.” The report finds that the type of efforts that entities are moving away from include: goal setting; programs for underrepresented talent; and the use of DEI specific language. According to the report, the strongest factors weighing on the degree of change are federal contractor status and size of the organization.

The report does note that areas like executive commitment, budget, and an organization’s principles around diversity process and workflow best practices have not changed as significantly. Paradigm notes “[c]ompanies are doubling down on what drives impact by embedding inclusion into key talent practices, supporting employee wellbeing through meaningful benefits, and investing in the training and tools that help people contribute to inclusive cultures.”
