MFDF Publishes Second Article on Fund Performance Oversight, Featuring Toolkit for Directors

On March 3, MFDF Senior Counsel Dianne Descoteaux published a Fund Directions article titled, “Structuring Effective Performance Oversight: A Toolkit for Directors,” which provides an overview of practical ways that fund directors can address unexpected fund performance. The article is the second article in a two-part series that addresses how directors can develop a disciplined approach to fund performance oversight. While the first article discussed how directors can effectively analyze fund performance, the second article discusses practical steps that directors can take if an adviser fails to deliver expected performance. The article discusses each stage of the performance oversight process in detail, and includes a toolkit of possible considerations and action steps for independent directors to reference at each stage of their review.
