Fund Board Composition Report

In April 2026, MFDF released findings from its December 2025 survey of fund boards on director qualifications. The report includes data on the types of backgrounds and experiences that are represented in fund boardrooms, including inclusion of specialist and generalist independent directors. Furthermore, survey findings shed light on board practices with regard to board size, leadership within the boardroom, and defining 'Qualified Financial Expert' and what it means for a director to be 'from the fund industry.'
